So most of the blog posts I make are about a session I just took, but today I feel prompted to give back.

On Monday June 8, 2015 while trying to do his job, Cst. Daniel Woodall, of the Edmonton Police Service was killed in the line of duty. He left behind a wife, and two kids who now have to find some way of dealing with the loss of a Husband and a Father.

I was born and raised in Edmonton and have always appreciated the men in blue and other emergency responders serving and protecting our beautiful city. So when I followed this terrible tragedy on twitter as it unfolded, my heart broke for his family. I couldn't imagine finding out that I would never see my husband again and trying to tell my two little girls that Daddy isn't coming home....

So...I knew right away I had to do something.

Obviously there has been a generous outpouring from the community and abroad, but I wanted to know what I could do. I don't have a lot of money, especially with the downturn in the economy, but I have my love and my skills.

So I have decided to hold a day of Mini Sessions, with all the proceeds going to the Woodall Family's Trust Fund. EVERY PENNY. So you can come get photos of your family and also be helping a family going through what no one should have to experience.

Date: June 27, 2015

Mini Session Fee: $100.00

Includes 30 minute outdoor session within the Edmonton Area and 5 Digital Images with Personal Printing Rights. To book please click here to contact us. Please specify you are interested in the Mini Sessions to support the Woodall Family.

Or if you can't afford to pay for a session but still would like to help the family, please either go to any RBC and donate to the Woodall Family Trust Fund or the GoFundMe Page set up by the EPA:

And to Claire...whenever you are ready, which I know may be a LONG and your boys have my camera and I at your disposal.

All our love,

Katie & family
